Most people looking for a ClickFunnels alternative are not looking for different features. They are looking at a $197 monthly line item and asking whether they are getting $197 of value out of it.
That is a fair question, and the answer depends entirely on which parts of ClickFunnels you actually use. So rather than ranking tools by star rating, this compares them by the reason you would switch.
What ClickFunnels costs, for reference
List pricing as of August 29, 2026: Launch $97/mo ($81 billed annually), Scale $197/mo ($164 annually), Optimize $297/mo ($248 annually), and a top tier at $5,997/yr.
The Launch plan caps you at 10,000 contacts, 1 workspace, 2 team members, and 3 courses. Keep those numbers in mind — they are what the alternatives have to beat.

The three reasons people leave
- Price. By far the most common. The tool works; the invoice does not fit the stage of business.
- Overkill. You use funnels and email, and you are paying for workspaces, team seats, and API access you will never touch.
- Wrong center of gravity. Your business is really a course business or a community business, and you want a tool built around that instead of around funnels.
Each reason points at a different replacement.
If you are leaving on price: Systeme.io
This is the direct like-for-like swap for most solo operators, and the gap is not subtle.
| Systeme.io | ClickFunnels | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Yes — 3 funnels, 2,000 contacts, 1 domain, 0% fees | No |
| Entry paid | $17/mo | $97/mo |
| Unlimited tier | $97/mo | $297/mo (or $5,997/yr) |
| Emails | Unlimited on every tier | Metered (50K–1.2M/mo) |
| Transaction fees | 0% on every tier | — |
Systeme.io’s unlimited plan costs the same as ClickFunnels’ entry plan. Over a year at list price that is $1,164 against $3,564.

What you give up: the custom code editor, a large template ecosystem, and the depth of community support. Note what you do not give up: Systeme.io includes unlimited sub-accounts on every plan, free included — isolated client workspaces with their own funnels, contacts, and domains. ClickFunnels caps those by tier (1 on Launch, 5 on Scale). For agencies, the cheaper tool is arguably the more generous one here.
Why it is the easiest to test: the free plan is permanent, not a trial. You can rebuild one live funnel on it this weekend and know the answer without spending anything. Full breakdown in our Systeme.io review and the head-to-head comparison.
If your business is really a course business: Kajabi
Kajabi is not the cheap option — Basic $143/mo billed annually ($179 monthly), Growth $199/mo ($249 monthly), Pro $399/mo ($499 monthly). It is frequently more expensive than what you are leaving.
You would move here because the center of gravity is different. Kajabi is built around products, communities, and memberships, with funnels as supporting cast. If most of your revenue is courses and your ClickFunnels course module keeps feeling like an afterthought, that is the signal.
Watch the contact limits — Basic holds 2,500 and Growth holds 25,000, so a large list moves you up tiers quickly. Kajabi states no revenue sharing, but notes that payment processing fees still apply and vary by country and provider.

If you only ever used the email: leave the category entirely
Plenty of people pay for an all-in-one platform and use one part of it. If your funnels are really just a landing page and a sequence, a dedicated email platform will do that better and cheaper, and you can host the page anywhere.
The trade is that you are back to managing integrations — which is the exact problem all-in-one tools exist to solve. Worth it if you use one module. Not worth it if you use three.
How to switch without breaking anything
- Rebuild one funnel, do not migrate everything. Pick your second-most-important funnel — not your best earner — and rebuild it on the new tool.
- Run both in parallel for one billing cycle. The overlap costs one month. Discovering a missing feature after you have cancelled costs far more.
- Export your list before you cancel anything, and confirm the export actually imported. Check tags and segments survived, not just addresses.
- Keep your domains where they are. Point them at the new platform. Do not transfer registrars during a migration — two moving parts at once is how sites go dark.
Hands-on notes
I’ve spent roughly ten years building on Shopify, WordPress, and Wix, so evaluating a switch is a familiar exercise — the real cost is never the sticker price, it’s what breaks quietly during migration. So before writing this, I actually set up a funnel on Systeme.io’s free plan to see where the friction was.
Building the funnel itself was faster than moving anything usually is: choosing “Build an audience” as the goal auto-generated an opt-in page and a thank-you page with a template already attached, so I wasn’t starting from a blank canvas. The page editor took a beat to learn — clicking a headline opens the whole section’s settings panel rather than just a text toolbar — but nothing that would slow down a real migration by more than an afternoon.
Where “moving” a business actually gets tested is email, and that’s exactly where I hit a wall. Trying to create a sequence, the sender address field was empty with no way around it: Systeme.io requires a verified domain connected before it lets you send anything at all, even a test. If you’re mid-migration and haven’t repointed your domain’s DNS yet, you cannot send email in the meantime — plan that gap in explicitly rather than assuming email works from day one.
The upside I didn’t expect: sub-accounts, which matter most for anyone managing more than one funnel or client, are unlimited on every plan including free. I created one with zero approval steps and it came with fully separate contact, funnel, blog, and course counters. If you’re switching specifically because ClickFunnels’ workspace limits are the bottleneck, that constraint disappears entirely — it’s not a paid-tier unlock here.
The short answer
If you are leaving because of the invoice and you run one business, Systeme.io is the replacement to test first, and the free plan means testing costs nothing.
If courses and community are the actual business, Kajabi is worth paying more for — but go in knowing it usually costs more, not less.
And if you depend on the custom code editor, or your team already knows ClickFunnels well enough that retraining would cost more than the subscription, the honest answer is that staying put may be correct. Not every comparison ends with a switch.
