Picks worth keeping.

Independent software reviews

Pick the funnel builder you’ll actually keep.

Kept Picks compares all-in-one marketing platforms — Systeme.io, ClickFunnels, Kajabi and their rivals. Systeme.io is the one we set up an account on and tested hands-on, with dated screenshots. For the rest we read the pricing pages and the documentation closely — and every page tells you which of the two it is.

Featured verdict

Systeme.io — the best-value all-in-one we’ve tested for solo operators

The free plan runs a real business: 2,000 contacts, unlimited emails, 0% transaction fees, and unlimited sub-accounts. The top paid plan — unlimited everything at $97/mo — costs what competitors charge for their capped entry tier. The one catch worth knowing up front: you need your own domain before you can send a single email.

  • Free plan is permanent, not a trial
  • $97 unlimited tier undercuts rivals’ entry pricing
  • Funnel setup auto-generates the page structure
  • Email requires a verified custom domain first
  • Free plan caps automation at 1 rule
Free plan — no credit card required. Affiliate link: we may earn a commission. Sign up and email us the address you used and we’ll send four free starter tools — details in our free plan guide.

How we know

Written from inside the product, not from the sales page

Our Systeme.io pages start with an account we set up ourselves. The screenshots below are ours, they’re dated, and we publish the walls we hit — not just the wins. Where a page is based on documentation rather than an account, it says so at the top.

Systeme.io funnel editor showing an opt-in page and thank-you page created automatically
The funnel Systeme.io built for us after one setup choice — opt-in and thank-you page, template attached. August 30, 2026.
Systeme.io campaign screen showing an empty sender email address list before domain verification
The wall the marketing never shows: no verified domain, no sending — the sender list is empty. We hit it so you don’t. August 30, 2026.
Systeme.io sub-accounts screen showing a separate workspace created on the free plan
A fully separate sub-account, created on the free plan with no approval step. August 30, 2026. Systeme.io’s help center confirms sub-accounts are unlimited even on the free plan (help.systeme.io/article/4243).
We read pricing pages closely enough to catch vendors contradicting themselves. Systeme.io’s own FAQ says the $17 Startup plan includes unlimited funnels — its pricing table says 10. We report the table, and we tell you the discrepancy exists.
We don’t repeat numbers vendors never published. Half the web says ClickFunnels has a “14-day trial.” Its own pricing page promises only a free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee — so that’s what we print.

Our method

How we choose what to recommend

01

Label what we tested

Systeme.io: an account we set up and used. Everything else: published pricing and documentation, checked and dated. We never present the second as the first.

02

Compare on criteria that age well

Pricing traps, migration pain, lock-in — the things that hurt in year two, not the demo gloss.

03

Keep only the winners

The site is called Kept Picks for a reason. Tools that stop earning their place get cut from our recommendations.

Who’s behind this

One builder. Ten years of sites. Zero sponsored rankings.

Kept Picks K mark

I’m Shinya Hatano. I’ve been building and maintaining websites for about ten years — the first one is still online, and I still fix it when something breaks. I co-owned the online store behind it; that business has since closed. This site is the same story: I picked the host, the theme, and wrote the plugins behind it. The tools I test are paid for out of my own pocket, and no vendor can buy a ranking here. If a recommendation is ever out of date, tell me and I’ll fix it.
