This site runs on self-hosted WordPress: about $34 in year one, about $120 once intro rates end. And it still cannot send a sequence or run a checkout alone.

Ship a physical object and this is over: use Shopify. Sell something digital and Shopify is an expensive checkout you could have for $0 with Systeme.io.
Both have a free plan. Only one can take money on it. Wix’s free tier cannot accept payments; Systeme.io’s can, with a custom domain and 0% fees, at $0 a month.
Skool’s pricing runs backwards: the $9/mo plan charges 10% per transaction, the $99/mo plan 2.9%. Systeme.io charges 0% at every tier, including the free one.
Stan Store and Systeme.io both charge 0% fees, but Stan has no free plan. Stan is link-in-bio for creators; Systeme.io is funnel-first, with a free tier.
The one comparison where the rival’s free plan is bigger: Kit holds 10,000 subscribers to Systeme.io’s 2,000. But Kit charges 3.5% plus 30c on every tier.
Both have permanent free plans, but MailerLite caps at 250 subscribers and Systeme.io at 2,000 with real funnels. If email is the whole job, MailerLite is focused.
GetResponse added funnels to an email tool; Systeme.io added email to a funnel tool. GetResponse automates deeper; Systeme.io is cheaper and has a free plan.
Thinkific lists no percentage transaction fee on any tier, unlike Kartra, Podia and Teachable. It costs more than Systeme.io, and buys real course depth.
Teachable’s entry tier charges a 7.5% transaction fee, the highest in this series. Systeme.io covers funnels and email too, for less. When Teachable still wins.
